Gary Birdsall has been the President & CEO of the South Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce since April 2013.  He brings a wealth of marketing, networking, public relations and economic development experience to his role at the Chamber.  After serving as a U.S. Army Infantry Captain (Vietnam and Germany), he moved to Utah in the early 1970s.  His career stops include commercial banks, economic development with the state of Utah, Mountain Fuel (Questar/Dominion Energy), and the South Davis & Davis Chambers of Commerce.  From 2005-2012, he directed a dramatic growth of BNI in the state of Utah.   Gary has served on various boards since his arrival in Utah; and, he always finds to volunteer his efforts to help others.  His undergraduate degree is from the University of Wyoming; and, he earned his MBA from the University of Utah

Gary thoroughly enjoys the opportunity of teaming up with business owners, SSL City officials and residents in the city of South Salt Lake.
