PETER CORROON
Mr. Corroon has been involved in the construction and renovation of hundreds of housing units since 1995, including market-rate housing and affordable housing. Affordable housing projects include the Sophie Apartments at 925 S 200 West (24 units) and the Cornell Place Apartments at 211 N. Cornell Street (146 units) in Salt Lake City. He also was involved in the recently completed 144-unit Tower View Apartments in Ogden, Utah. Renovation projects include the Lund Apartments (9-units), 1stAve & M Apartments (8-units), Barbara Worth Apartments (34-units), 2ndAve & K Apartments (20-units) and The Gavel Apartments (21-units), all located in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Corroon has also constructed commercial office and retail buildings in Salt Lake City, and renovated a historic office building, The Historic Ogden Post Office Building, in Ogden, Utah.
Mr. Corroon previously served as Mayor of Salt Lake County from 2005-2013, becoming the second mayor in Salt Lake County’s history. He also has served as the Chair of the Utah Democratic Party from 2014-2017.
